OUR HISTORY

Lobban Hyde, originally established as Dodoo Lobban & Co. in 1969, was among the pioneering local accounting firms in the country. It later evolved into Lobban Hyde & Co. in 1977 and Joseph Hyde & Co. in 1990. Founded by Mr. Harry Dodoo, Mr. William Drummond Lobban, and Mr. Joseph N. A. Hyde, the firm’s legacy of excellence and innovation was laid.

In 2005, Lobban Hyde strategically merged with Oduro Adiyah & Osei, a prominent Ghanaian accounting firm, forming MGI Hydefynn & Osei, which included six Ghanaian Partners, significantly enhancing Lobban Hyde’s capabilities and industry reach.

In 2011, the firm underwent restructuring, rebranding as Lobban Hyde Chartered Accountants, positioning itself as a reputable and competitive alternative to the global BIG 4 firms. Following the passing of our founding partners, we welcome Mr. Joshua Armah (formerly of Deloitte) and Mr. Gabriel Anim (previously with KPMG and EY) as new partners
